7-bit Bengali transliteration into Roman charactars

‘ISO 15919 Transliteration of Devanagari and related Indic scripts into Latin characters,’ passed into a standard in 2001, officially provides for a seven-bit scheme for Bengali transliteration, using the printable ASCII repertoire. There have been some other schemes employed mostly for Nagari that could be extended to Bengali.
